VO2 Cycling sponsor Rebecca Milnes for 2010

In only our first 6 months of trading we are delighted to announce that we will be sponsoring Rebecca Milnes for the 2010 season. Our respective names may not be familiar to many right now, but we are confident this will change in the very near future.

VO2 Cycling is a new British bike brand whose goal is to develop high end road bikes that provide the best fit at the best prices. We are currently manufacturing two bikes: the Victory TT – which scored 9 out of 10 in 220 Triathlon Magazine review; and the Revolution.

For 2010 we are supplying Rebecca with our super light Revolution frame and forks with one of the best specifications currently on the market. The contact points are Deda zero bars and stem, with the Selle Italia saddle. We have opted for the complete new Shimano Ultegra 6700 groupset with Shimano wheels and finished with Vision mini clip on bars. The bike has been built specifically for Rebecca, but this option is now also available to buy on our website.

Having previously won Gold at the ITU World Championships in her age group, Rebecca is now competing on the Under 23 Circuit. Her main goals for 2010 are to finish Top 3 in the British Super Series, Qualify for U23 European Championships and Qualify for U23 World championships.

Her race calendar is:

St Anthony’s - 25th April
BUCS Sprint - 5th May
Elite National Champs, Strathclyde - 23rd May
Blenheim Sprint Triathlon - 6th June
Royal Windsor Triathlon - 13th June
BUCS Olympic Distance - 19th June
London Triathlon - 8th August

For the first part of the season Rebecca is based in Australia on a warm weather training camp with training partner Jodie Stimpson. After this she heads to the US to compete at St Anthony’s non-drafting race and then returns back to the UK to start her 2010 season.

You can keep up to date with everything related to VO2 Cycling on our website http://www.VO2cycling.co.uk , on Facebook and on Twitter. You can also follow Rebecca’s progress on her website http://www.rebeccamilnes.co.uk

Victory TT Reviewed in 220 Triathlon Magazine "Best on test award"

The latest edition of 220 triathlon magazine hit our door step this morning with a review of our very own Victory TT built as our entry level time trial bike using Shimano 105.

The Victory TT was tested against the Kona TT coming out as best on test receiving a 9/10 and "Best on test award". The Victory was awarded 9/10 for handling, 8/10 for spec, 9/10 for value and 9/10 for comfort. When we put this bike together our aim was to make a bike that would offer a high quality frame with all the features needed when riding in a triathlon or time trial but with comfort being high on the list. Many riders we talked to found riding a TT bike very harsh. With use of our carbon frame and a set up that is not over aggressive we have achieved our goal.

"It's out on the road where the Victory really shows what tri knowledge can achieve in bike design. It's been designed for tri from the ground up".

This build option is built using full Shimano 105 groupset with Dura-ace shifters, Shimano RS10 wheels with Continental Ultra Sports tyres, Vision intergrated trimax base and tri bars, Vision Stem, Vision Tri Gel saddle and weights in at 8.55kg with out pedals.

Winner of the 220 Victory TT competition

To kick start our new business adventure we teamed up with 220 Triathlon magazine and gave away a Victory TT frame set. Over 1500 people entered the competition making it a great start to getting VO2 Cycling out there.

There can only be one winner and congratulations go to Damian Silver. Pictured below with his new Victory TT
